I'm still not sure how I feel about all of this.
After spending two seasons with most of the characters in New York City, Glee
will return to the halls of McKinley for the final season--including Rachel Berry (Lea Michele).
The major plot for the Fox show's 6th and final season is that Rachel returns to Lima after being humiliated while pursuing becoming an actress in Hollywood. She discovers that Sue (Jane Lynch) had the Glee club demolished, and is determined to bring New Directions BACK.....
With herself running it!!
It's also been revealed that Will (Matthew Morrison), Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Blaine (Darren Criss) will also be returning to the halls of their former school.
Of course, Kurt (Chris Colfer), Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Artie (Kevin McHale) will be back as well, along with Coach Beiste (Dot Marie Jones).
The big reveal that Rachel would be taking the helm of New Directions comes after creator Ryan Murphy explained that his original vision of the end of the series was Finn running New Directions. That of course had to change in the wake of the tragic death of star Cory Monteith.
Now for my problem:
What was the point of New York? I understand things had to change with Cory's passing, but it just seems like everything else is an afterthought now.
I'm still not okay with Naya Rivera possibly only being recurring in the final season--if she appears at all.
returns mid-season (in 2015) with a limited 13 episode run.
What do you guys think of Rachel running New Directions?
