Last week Glee made its triumphant return to our screens with its fifth season premiere, “Love, Love, Love”. While there was much to celebrate in the episode, the absence of lead star, Cory Monteith, was certainly felt. As we are gearing up to farewell both Cory and his on-screen character, Finn Hudson, in just under a fortnight, Digital Spy has provided us with a season 4 deleted scene featuring the beloved character.

The clip was cut from the ninth episode, “Swan Song” and features Finn and Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison). At just over a minute long, the scene picks up following the New Directions disastrous performance at Sectionals. Marley (Melissa Benoist) collapses on stage at the end of the Glee club’s first performance. The entire club helps escort her off the stage resulting in their automatic disqualification. In the scene, fans see the “emotional” standoff between the Finn and Will over the team’s loss.

The scene will be included as part of the Special Features on the Glee: Season 4 Blu-ray and DVD box-set, which is released on October 7.
