Mark Salling, who played the Quinn-loving jock Noah "Puck" Puckerman on FOX' Glee, has been arrested for possession of child pornography.

Can we please just have one week without upsetting news coming out of the woodwork? One week, that's all we're asking.

The actor refused to give authorities the passwords to his electronics, prompting the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit of the Los Angeles Police Department to use a battering ram to break into his home this morning. Allegedly, the police found "hundreds" of images in the home, obviously ending with Salling being taken into custody. Bail was set at $20,000 and just a few hours ago, his family posted the 10% to get him out of jail.

The police stated that the bust has  been in the works for two weeks, after they had received a tip regarding the child porn. The LAPD was concerned that the information was distributed as part of an act of revenge against Salling, but found it heavy enough to proceed with a search warrant.

This isn't the first time that Salling has been under the police microscope, as back in 2013 he was sued by an ex-girlfriend who alleged sexual battery by Salling. The case ended in a settlement, with Salling being ordered to pay the woman $2.7 million. The police were also explicit in saying that the anonymous tipster for the child porn charge is not the person involved in the sexual battery case.
