How would you like it if you could have (almost) anything you ever desired delivered to your door?

It seems like the kind of thing dreams are made of, right?

Well if you live in New York City or Los Angeles, dream no more because this is now your reality thanks to Google’s latest venture, Google Shopping Express.

Need some Nutella for that light night tumblr session or tissues to help you get through another heart breaking episode of Glee? Don’t worry about setting your DVR and going to the shops, now you can get that jar of chocolate goodness delivered to your door in just a few clicks.

And, best of all, for a limited time, there is a chance that it might even be free!

That’s because not only is Google offering six-months of free delivery for eligible members, but they are also offering new customers a $10 credit to try out the service. So that bag of cookies you’ve been craving since breakfast, it could be at you door in as little as 1 hour. Or maybe you need a new toothbrush, t-shirt or a stapler. Google has your covered with a wide range of local retailers participating in the project including Costco, Guitar Center, L’Occitane, Staples, Target, Toys “R” Us and Walgreens.

Here’s how it works: log onto the Google Express website, choose from their gallery of products sourced from local providers, choose a delivery window that suits you, checkout and wait for one of the distinctive blue and white patterned Google Express delivery vans to bring you your purchases. Easy!

For a first-hand account of the Google Express experience check out this article from Gizmodo.

Although Google Shopping Express is currently only available in select parts of San Francisco, New York City and Los Angeles, the online giant does have plans to expand the service into other cities in the coming months.

So, if you live in New York City or Los Angeles, why don’t you try it out for yourself and leave a comment below and tell us just how much better cookies taste when you don’t have to leave the house to get them (or get out of your pajamas)!
