Since they first exploded onto the music scene, Grayshot have had a number of their songs featured in several TV shows together with documentaries on FOX and MTV. The band have also toured across the US and around Europe, delighting fans on both sides of the Atlantic.
The trio, brothers Aaron and Christian Ankrum along with Reese Kling, who hail from Minneapolis, honed their craft via their self-produced first release Stay/Go and have built themselves a steady fanbase through support slots with bands including The Boxer Rebellion.
2016 looks set to be their biggest year yet with their new album Borders, due for release on April 1st and available for pre-order now. PopWrapped are delighted to premiere the first single from the collection titled “Far From Me.”
The track, which is available today, has a rather electro-style rhythm to it with the instrumentation working in harmony with the smooth and soft vocal delivery, which picks up during the chorus and is hard to resist swaying and dancing along to.
Asked about the song, the band says:
This song has continued to surprise us. We were dreading the process of cutting songs to get down to the final track-listing, but when “Far From Me” came out of nowhere, it was immediately obvious that it was a galvanizing moment for this album. Something about it has consistently drawn us in emotionally and felt right to introduce Borders.
