In my opinion, one of the best aspects of this time of year is all of the Halloween specials on TV. From classic scary movies, to new features, it is a bounty of scary goodness.
Of all the specials, however, few are as highly anticipated as the annual Simpson’s Treehouse of Horror episode. Every year the Simpsons’ creators try to scare the daylights right out of viewers by amping up the guts, gore, and glory. This year, Guillermo del Toro offered his talents to the show and created his own couch gag. (If you don’t know what this is, well, I’m sorry. I’m not explaining it for you, and where have you been?!) We can anticipate the couch gag to show some inspiration from famous horror hounds, such as Ray Harryhausen, Stephen King and Hitchcock.
If you’re like me and have the patience of a toddler, you can view the couch gag below before the episode airs this Sunday. Watch closely. Famous cameos abound…
