Rock legends Guns N’ Roses were invited to attend the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, but only Slash, Duff Mckagan and Seven Adler and later member’s Matt Sorum. Izzy Stradlin, Dizzy Reed attended. Axl Rose, lead singer and founder of the band, didn’t attend the ceremony, and Rose, at the last minute, asked not to be inducted in his absence. “All things considered, I don’t think any of us wanted to be a part of it initially, I didn’t think any of us were going to go. It was a thorn in everybody’s – well, at least a thorn in my side – because I was busy doing other stuff.” Slash, guitar player, told Digital Spy. When he was asked about if he would ever be back on speaking terms with Axl, he added, “It’s not even something I like to dwell on. I don’t even like to make to make comments because you end up with quotes that sometimes exacerbate the issue.”

He also talked about the band being remembered until nowadays, “And the fact that there’s still so much attention and interest in the band however many years after I was in it, I feel very humbled and honored by all that.” When asked about the band, especially the memories and what he felt about it, Slash said he has a lot of great memories and could never has asked to do anything cooler than Guns N’Roses.
