Everyone knew that Glee 100 was going to be a huge episode, but I don't think anyone expected it to be this big. We already know that it will going to be filled with returning former main players: Dianna Agron, Heather Morris, Mark Salling, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr, and recurring guest star, Kristin Chenoweth.
However, another huge star has been added to the cast list according to E!Online: Gwyneth Paltrow will be reprising her Emmy-Winning Role of Holly Holliday!
Big guest stars aren't the only thing you can expect from this huge episode... Details of the plot have finally been released and they are SHOCKING.
Everyone has been wondering what the former stars' characters will be up to in their return to the series and it looks as though many of them will be saying their final goodbyes to glee club director, Will Schuester. That's right, Principal Sue Sylvester, played by Jane Lynch, will finally succeed in her series long attempt to end the glee club in Lima for good!
A plot this vast cannot fit into just one episode, so the 100th episode will run in two parts; the first will air March 18, and the second will air March 25. The episodes will also feature ten new versions of Glee's greatest hits, as voted for by Gleeks.
After Will's final goodbyes are over with, the series will move to New York City where several episodes will be shot exclusively. Insiders have revealed that these special episodes will focus on the NYC characters but feature some of the characters from the Lima too.
E!News has also confirmed that at least one more special guest star will appear in Glee 100 that has not appeared on Glee before!
For now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, we know that Rachel (Lea Michele), Kurt (Chris Colfer), Santana (Naya Rivera), Blaine (Darren Criss), Sam (Chord Overstreet), and Mercedes (Amber Riley) will be in the New York City episodes.
As for what will happen in the rest of season five, everything is still up in the air and it's unclear what will happen with the recent New Directions members.
The shake-up is most likely due to the tragic death of star Cory Monteith, which caused the writers to re-think any original plans they had for ending the series. The original ending, according to Glee Boss Ryan Murphy, was to have Cory's character, Finn Hudson, end up with on/off girlfriend Rachel Berry.
The show has already been renewed for what is likely to be it's sixth and final season. Until the series ends though, you can catch the newest episode of Glee when it returns to its new day and time of Tuesdays at 8/7c beginning February 25.
