This is definitely good and unsurprising news for fans of this quirky sports anime.

Haikyu!! second season’s official website confirmed the series would have 25 episodes, which will be released “across nine Blu-ray/DVD volumes.” The volumes are already available for pre-order on Amazon Japan.

The second season of Haikyu!! premiered on Saturday (Oct. 3), and it's available for your viewing pleasure on Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll has made the series available for streaming in “the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Scandinavia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Latin America.”

Sentai Filmworks has licensed and released the first season, in two parts, on Blu-ray and DVD. Haikyuu!! is essentially a sports anime that revolves around the Karasuno High Volleyball Team and Crunchyroll describes the plot for the second season as:

“After losing to Aoba Johsai at the Inter-High, the Karasuno High Volleyball Team is working their hardest toward the Spring Tournament. In the meantime, it's decided that they'll be heading to Tokyo for a training camp with Nekoma High and a handful of other powerful schools. They team is practicing hard, and not day during their run, Hinata and Kageyama get too excited and end up lost, and end up meeting someone rather unexpected...”

Haikyu!! is quite possibly the best sports anime in existence and is a must-watch for fans of anime. If you have not seen Haikyu!! then you should do soon ASAP! It’s a series filled with amazing characters and intense matches. As someone who resents anything sports related, I found myself completely enthralled with Haiyku!!  and I can bet you’ll enjoy the series as much as I did.
