The latest season of American Idol hasn’t even begun and the drama has already started! New judge, Harry Connick Jr, has responded to a statement former judge Mariah Carey made last week. While doing the rounds, Mariah was asked about her time on the reality competition to which she referred to as “going to work every day in hell”. Carey went on to say, “Honestly, I hated it. I was the first person signed on and I don’t want to say anything that’s going to, heaven forbid, look like I’m saying anything negative but I thought it was going to be a three-person panel”. For those who lived under a rock for the better part of this year, Carey was in a feud with fellow judge, Nicki Minaj, which is presumably the root of Mariah’s discomfort. Connick decided to respond to Mariah’s claims by tweeting the following: Adding, Oh, the drama! Are you team Mariah, Nicki or Harry?! Sound off below! The new season of American Idol arrives early next year on Fox!
