Yes, you heard that right! The Harry Potter book series is getting another makeover. This time, by award winning artist Jonny Duddle. Bloomsbury Children's Books are reinventing the way children read. With a new author biography and a completely new reading experience, the books will be slightly different from earlier versions. But the most striking new feature is the cover art. The only released picture of the new art is The Philosophers Stone, but from what we can see, the new art has more of a mystical feeling to it. I like it! Jonny Duddle, chosen to create the new covers, is most widely know for his children's picture books The Pirate Cruncher and The Pirates Next Door. Upon being chosen as the artist for the series, Duddle stated:
"I’m hugely excited to work my way through the wonderful books. I couldn’t have asked for more enjoyable subject matter. It’s exciting, daunting and I feel the weight of responsibility, and I’m just hoping that my illustrations faithfully reflect the characters and world created by J.K.Rowling" All seven books will be published, new and improved, on September 1st, 2014. The ebooks will also be posted on at the same time. What do you think of the new art?
