After Taylor Swift dissed One Direction twice at the VMAs last week, Harry Styles apparently “had words” with her at an after party.
While listening to the 1D boys give an award it is speculated that Swift leaned over to pal Selena Gomez and whispered “Shut the f*ck up.”
Later while accepting the award for “I Knew You Were Trouble” she referred to Styles in her speech: “I also want to thank the person who inspired the song, who knows exactly who he is, because now I got one of these.”
When asked about it during an interview with E! News, Harry and the rest of the band played it off, joking that she was dissing Niall Horan.
“I said, you know, she needs to leave him alone,” Harry told the reporter. “I said, ‘Niall is a nice guy’.”
Joking about the true trouble-maker aside, Harry said he wasn’t offended by the speech at all, “It’s alright, she likes a joke. I like a joke just as much as the next guy, so it’s all good.”
Not every member is taking the situation as light as Harry.
Liam Payne told the reporter that he thought Taylor’s comments were “a bit not needed,” he even added “Hashtag get over it.”
