If two KGB officers can pose as an American married couple in Washington D.C. amidst the Cold War, two small screen stars could fall in love, right?

It looks as if Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, stars of FX’s The Americans, are becoming more than just their on screen romance. People magazine reported that the pair were spotted shopping together in New York before Christmas.

“They looked very much like a couple,” a source told People magazine. “They were laughing and walking closely together.”

Russell recently separated from her husband, Shane Deary, with whom she has two children. The actress previously spoke to TV Guide about being with someone who is not a part of the entertainment industry.

“[I] Think its good that it makes him uncomfortable. I think anyone who is too comfortable with all this stuff is strange,” said Russell. “It’s normal that he’s uncomfortable. Like, if someone takes our picture on the street, I tell him, ‘Act however you want to act. It’s uncomfortable; you can look uncomfortable.’”
