The Captain America: The First Avenger actress took to Twitter earlier this week to announce that she would be heading to UK’s famous Pinewood Studios this week to begin shooting on the fairy tale.

And which part will she be taking on? It appears to be Cinder’s biological mother. Atwell is currently starring in a revival of The Pride on London’s West End and recently spoke to BBC News about the film and her character: “When Cinderella is five-years-old she loses her mum and she’s a good mum, that’s all I can really says, that it’s her biological mum”.

With an all-star cast that includes Cate Blanchett, Lily James, Helena Bonham Carter and Richard Madden, Atwell was quick to heap praise on what drew her to the film: “I’m really looking forward to working with him [Branagh], he knows how your mind works, so it’s wonderful. He’s very thorough, like a theatre director. It’s with Cate Blanchett as well so I’m in very good company – she’s quite and extraordinary artist and I’ve been a huge fan of her work.”

Cinderella is due out in 2015.
