Captain America has been quite the topic of discussion lately and it's not just because his movie Captain America: Civil War has been out in theaters for a little over a month.

Hayley Atwell, who played the unforgettable Peggy Carter in the Marvel Universe, has finally weighed in on Captain America's newest love interest revealed in the latest Marvel movie.

Fans weren't the only ones who fell in love with Steve Rogers in the 2011 movie. Peggy loved the little guy from Brooklyn who didn't like bullies. It wasn't difficult to feel for Peggy when Steve went to save New York and crashed the spaceship into the ice, not to be seen for another couple of decades.

Steve was heartbroken to know he wouldn't make that date, but there was hope in the Winter Soldier, Steve Rogers was given a new potential love interest with which fans, as well as Atwell, were not in agreement. Spoiler: Steve's new lady is Peggy's grandniece, Sharon Carter, who was the undercover SHIELD agent in Winter Soldier.

"First of all she'd be turning over in her grave," joked Atwell about her character's reaction to the new couple.  "She'd break out of her coffin and ground [Sharon] ... Then she'd kick Steve's ass as well."

The timing reveal of the new relationship didn't help either, with Sharon and Steve finally kissing not too long after they had attended Peggy's funeral.

"I just feel that, you know - I wouldn't want to date my great aunt's guy. It feels like it crosses an incestuous boundary," said Atwell before citing Peggy's concern for her grandniece due to the latest reveal about Captain America's allegiance in the comics. "She'd want the best for her and she'd want her dating a good guy. And now with this whole 'Hail Hydra' business, I don't know if Steve's good enough for her."

There is no certainty in how much Steve and Sharon's relationship might develop in the future, due to Steve being in hiding, but Cap's best gal has spoken.

How do you guys feel about Sharon and Steve?
