HBO Go Now Available On XBOX One | hbo go
HBOGo HBO Go finally went live in the Xbox One App store! HBO Go was perviously only available for Xbox users on the XBOX 360, but is now available to users on the newest generation console. Gamers can now snap episodes of Game of Thrones while waiting for that Halo match-up and stream the latest movies, documentaries and series the network has to offer. Xbox One users only need to go to the Xbox App store on their console to download the app for free and log in using their subscriber information. Although HBO currently requires subscriber information to use HBO Go, the company announced in October that HBO Go will be offered as a standalone service in 2015. According to Jeff Dallesandro, VP, digital domestic network distribution of HBO, “Xbox is one of our subscribers’ favorite ways to access HBO Go and its incredible breadth of award-winning programming,” The XBOX One has long been promoted as more than just a gaming console, but as an entertainment center for the whole family. Other apps such as Netflix, HuluPlus and Amazon Instant Video have been available for some time on the console. It is not required to have an Xbox Live Gold membership to use entertainment apps on the Xbox consoles.  For a full list of entertainment apps currently available on the Xbox One, visit the Xbox One website.
