Her Universe Launches DC Comics Workout Gear

Get ready to break a sweat, DC Comics-style! Her Universe has just launched a workout gear line inspired by some of your favorite superheroes.

Need a little extra motivation when you hit the gym? Now you can draw inspiration from Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman, thanks to the latest workout line from Her Universe.

Exclusively available at Kohl’s, this line features leggings, tank tops, jackets, and more, all with the familiar theme of DC’s most famous superheroes. Whether you’re looking for a motivational t-shirt (“sore today, soar tomorrow” one shirt reads) or looking for something a little bit more subtle (the Wonder Woman leggings look fantastic!), there is something in this new collection for any comic book fan looking to give their gym clothes an overhaul. Her Universe has previously done a similar fashion line in the past based on Marvel characters.

Her Universe was started in 2010 by Ashley Eckstein, known to Star Wars fans as the voice of Ahsoka Tano on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Featuring clothing from such hit franchises as Doctor Who, The Avengers, Star Trek, and (of course) Star Wars, Her Universe is a company made for fangirls with the hope of changing the perception of the geek landscape.

“Hoping to change the perception that science fiction and fantasy is just for boys, Her Universe has joined forces with some of the biggest names in the sci-fi/fantasy world to create fangirl apparel and accessories for such well-known names as Star Wars, Doctor Who, Star Trek and Marvel.”

Her Universe has since become a stand-alone subsidiary of Hot Topic, Inc., and their web site not only features a shop but a community where girls can show off their geekiness. They also produce the Her Universe fashion show every year at San Diego Comic-Con.

Will you be hitting the gym in Her Universe’s DC Comics line?
