Seven years since they "graduated", the former cast of the hit Disney Channel franchise, High School Musical, reunited for a homecoming on the red carpet July 24th to show their support for director Kenny Ortega as The Disney Channel got ready to premiere Descendants.
Ortega, responsible for giving these Wildcats their start, has now tackled another ragtag bunch of misfits in Disney Channel's newest movie, Descendants. Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel, and Olesya Rulin all made an appearance at the premiere and even charmed fans with a cast reunion selfie.
It is heartwarming to see they really have been "All in This Together" and remained close as they pass the torch to the next batch of teen stars. Kenny Ortega posted the group photo on his Instagram with the caption, "LOVE these kids!" Even though they are all successful adults, you can tell how excited he was to see his "kids" in this homecoming premiere.
Unfortunately, main characters Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were not in attendance due to scheduling conflicts. Efron is currently shooting a movie in Hawaii with costar Anna Kendrick (and posting adorable Instagram pictures of each other no less) and Hudgens is preparing for her role as Rizzo in Fox's Grease: Live.
'What Time is It?" It's time to grab some popcorn and re-watch those movies because I'm feeling the nostalgia now!
