I have to “Come Clean,” I got way giddier than I care to admit when I heard Disney darling Hilary Duff was heading back to the studio.
Some people may be thinking she’s “So Yesterday” and we should move on, but the actress/singer has had plenty of time since her 2007 album Dignity to recoup, mature and be inspired for some new material.
Her fourth studio album debuted at number three on the Billboard charts and had two number one club hits and her single “With Love” peaked at number twenty-four. Billboard attributed the less-than-stellar numbers to the loss of fans during Hilary’s musical “Metamorphosis,” but hopefully that all turns around when she launches back onto the music scene.
The wife, mom, author and humanitarian rose to fame playing the lead role on Disney’s hit show, Lizzie McGuire and went on to star in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Agent Cody Banks, Raise Your Voice and both Cheaper By The Dozen films. Hilary also conquered the music scene with her debut album going triple platinum and has sold over 8 million albums in the United States.
Recently at a Fiji Water event in the Hamptons Hilary revealed her plans to return to the studio, "I’m going to focus on my music; it’s been a long time coming. I’m finally buckling down and getting in the studio. I really miss touring. I really miss connecting with my fans in that way."
We miss you too Hil, and we couldn’t be happier to hear you’re coming back!
