As we reported earlier this week How I Met Your Mother, just finished filming an all-rhyming episode that series star Cobie Smulders described as "so fun and so funny". Well the release date, name of the episode, and promo for the episode have been released and it looks like Smulders was totally right. The episode is appropriately titled "Bedtime Stories" and looks to be a not to missed episode. The promo starts off describing the episode as "A rhyming episode told in three tales to be broadcast on CBS Nov. 25" We then get a sneak peak into some of the rhymes in the first scene of the episode and as promised and advertised all of the lines rhyme. One of the standout lines from what we saw had to be this line that will be said by Marshall to baby Marvin: "Upon your arrival, you'll be hugged and kissed. But when Mommy sees Daddy, she's gonna be pissed. 'Cause Daddy accepted a job as a judge without first consulting Mrs. Big Fudge." We also find out why Marshall is speaking in rhyme in the sneak peak as well. It turns out that to get Marvin to go to sleep the only thing that seems to calm him down is Mother Goose books, which most know are books known for their rhymes like "Little Bo Peep". Also throughout the sneak peek it shows three cartoon photos of characters of the show. The first of Ted dressed up in a baseball uniform ready to swing a bat in what looks to be a baseball game. The photo also has the words "Mosby at the Bat". The second photo is of Robin and shows her holding a cake and running away. This photo is appropriately called "Robin Takes The Cake". The last photo is of Barney sitting on a throne in front of a New York Skyline with the photo saying "Barney Stinson, Player King of New York City". It's currently unknown what those photos mean for the episode, but one can only assume that they might have something to do with the "3 stories" they spoke about at the beginning of the promo. That's what we know about the episode for now, be sure to check out when it airs on November 25, and as we find out more you can bet that we'll be reporting it here! Also check out the promo for yourself below!!
