Good news for fans of he who lives in a pineapple under the sea.

Paramount has slated two of its upcoming animated films for release in 2015, one of these being Spongebob Squarepants 2, which will be release on February 13th 2015.

Produced by Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Animation, the movie stars the voices we all know from the popular cartoon: Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown and Carolyn Lawrence.

Other projects announced included The Longest Ride, the next film adaptation from the books of author Nicholas Sparks [The Notebook], set to open on Valentine’s Day weekend.

Monster Trucks, a new CGI/live-action film that the studio hopes will become a Transformers-like franchise, will open in theaters on May 29th.

DreamWorks Animation will release a new animated film, B.O.O (Bureau of Otherworldly Operations) one week after Monster Trucks, on June 5th.
Other animated films from DreamWorks and Fox include spinoff The Penguins of Madagascar [March 27th] and Kung Fu Panda 3 [December 23rd].

Sony Pictures Animation will release The Smurfs 3 on July 24th, and Hotel Transylvania 2 on September 25th.

The new Peanuts move will be out on November 6th thanks to 20th Century Fox animation and Blue Sky Studios. 2015 marks the 65th anniversary of the debut of the Peanuts comic strip and the 50th anniversary of the TV special A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Pixar’s Finding Dory will see the light on November 25th.

We have a lot to look forward to on 2015!
