Zayn Malik's solo career has officially been launched and I, for one, simply cannot wait to hear the music Malik dishes out. The former One Direction member, who left the band earlier this year, tweeted a photo of himself signing what looks like contract papers with the hugely successful record label RCA. Malik has been signed to the same record label as artists such as Justin Timberlake, Alisha Keys, Chris Brown and Shakira.https://twitter.com/zaynmalik/status/626484940675371008/photo/1
Malik's excitement is clearly noticeable, along with the excitement of all his fans. For the past couple of months, rumors have been endlessly circling Malik and his future in the music industry; now fans, such as myself, have confirmation of Malik's solo career and with this news, the music industries future has become twice as bright. Malik, in addition to posting the photo shown above, also explained why he left the band, stating now is the moment for him to show us who he really is.
Simon Cowell tweeted his congratulations along with stating whatever Malik and RCA release together will be special!https://twitter.com/SimonCowell/status/626498560566128640 https://twitter.com/SimonCowell/status/626498973726019585
Fans got a taste of Malik's music with the tracks "I Won't Mind" and "No Type." Both are exceptionally catchy with "I Won't Mind"
taking on a softer tone, as Malik charms listeners in a sweet falsetto as an acoustic guitar strums quietly in the background. "No Type" is a collaboration with MIC Righteous and is a cover of Rae
Sremmurd's smash hit of the same name. Malik is hands down, the highlight of the cover as he absolutely slays the chorus with his soulful vocals, meshing perfectly with MIC Righteous's rap.
I give a big and hearty congratulations to Malik as this signing has been a long time coming. Fans are ecstatic and truly happy at seeing Malik officially pursue a solo career and do what makes him happy. Zayn is, without a doubt, one extremely talented individual who has a whole slew of supportive fans backing him up and I'm confident that he'll carry his solo career out without a hitch.
Once again, congratulations Zayn for not only the record signing
but for also (finally) getting a chance to be who you want to be! Fans are looking forward to seeing the real you and the real music you let out!
