Hugh Jackman is one of those movie stars who never seems to age. After all this guy did play Wolverine in seven different movies starting in 2000, and he seems to actually look better in each successive film.

So when the actor posted a picture of himself on his Instagram account, fans noted that he looked rather worn and haggard. So, naturally, speculations arose that the 'look' may in fact be for a role.

The picture itself seems to be just a simple everyday snap with Jackman in front of some cooked fish giving a thumbs up and captioning the pic with, "Now that's what I'm talking about!"

Now that's what I'm talking about!

Soon enough comic books fans connected his current look to his ongoing work on Wolverine 3. The actor has teased that the third solo film of his iconic character may be based on the 'Old Man Logan' storyline from the comic books.

There is no official verification from the production since the story is being kept under wraps, but it does make sense for the actor to look older for the part, as the title of the arc suggests.

Old Man Logan played out on eight issues of the Wolverine comic and puts the title character in a post-apocalyptic world wherein the United States has been conquered and sub-divided between several super villains. Most super heroes have been wiped out and the Red Skull, Captain America's arch nemesis, now runs the country as its President.

Logan is one of the few surviving heroes and has gone into hiding with his wife and young children. He has chosen to give up violence altogether.

Of course we can't expect the movie to actually follow that story, since Red Skull after all is licensed to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and can't crossover with X-Men, but we could expect shades of it. Patrick Stewart is also set to reprise his role as X-Men founder and leader, Professor X, but there is no hint of who would play the actual villain.

Sadly, Jackman has also stated that this will be the last time he will play Wolverine.
