Joel McHale and Gillian Jacobs attended the 2014 Monte Carlo Television Festival to promote their “cult comedy” show Community. The pair spoke with Digital Spy about the shock of cancellation and if there really are plans for a sixth season.
Gillian and Joel both spoke about how surprised they were that the show was cancelled. As Jacobs put it they “Got too cocky” about the show seeming “invincible.”
Though they both joked about a stage, musical, and pantomime version of a sixth season, neither gave away any information about whether there really is a sixth season in the works. Rumors have been flying that Hulu Plus is up to grab Community and resurrect it for it’s sixth and final season.
McHale and Jacobs, though sad about the end, both sung the praises of Dan Harmon and how happy they both were that they were able to end it all with him.
Here’s to hoping Hulu Plus isn’t a rumor, because this Human Being misses her favorite show already!
