I’m not calling this a “slam” like some other sources are, but it’s interesting.
In this month’s edition of Billboard magazine, rapper and #1 chart topper Iggy Azalea had something to say about Lorde recently performing in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony during the induction of Nirvana.
Iggy said:
“Nothing against her, but I think when you’re doing a tribute to someone that’s dead, generally it should be the person’s peer. Lorde is not Kurt Cobain’s peer. No matter if she killed the performance or not, I just don’t think it’s appropriate.”
In case you missed it, Lorde performed the Nirvana hit “All Apologies”:
What do you guys think of Iggy’s comments?
Should Lorde have performed? Or should Dave Grohl and co. have said no?
