AMC Releases Cryptic Images For Season 7B Of The Walking Dead | Walking Dead

Deep breath, fellow The Walking Dead addicts, our favorite show may be gone until February, but AMC has just released 14 new tantalizing promo images for Season 7B that are sure to keep our minds reeling for the remainder of this hiatus.

When we last parted with the show before its midseason hiatus on December 11th, the reign of Negan seemed to be coming to an end -- or at least plans were in the works to put an end to it. Rick was garnering his murder coat aesthetic again, and the core group of survivors were banding together to fight their biggest threat. It’s yet to be seen whether or not they will be successful in their attempt, however, because, quite frankly, Negan is a villain unlike any other they have faced before, and defeating him won’t be easy.

The 14 images released don’t give much away about what will happen when the show returns, but they are cryptic and eerie, perhaps giving away the overall feel of the second half of the season.

What’s the symbolism behind these images? Well, your guess is as good as ours. Is somebody going to be taking a bath with a ton of creepy rubber duckies -- maybe Rick and Michonne? Will Daryl now be riding a bicycle? Will they be using the dynamite to blow something up? Could Carol be reminiscing on The Grove with the walnuts? Does the freshly-dug grave mean the death of yet another beloved character? Whatever they mean, they’ll keep us guessing until the midseason premiere, an untitled episode in which “Jesus leads Rick and co to The Kingdom, in hopes to convince King Ezekiel to team up with them and The Hilltop against a common threat.”

The Walking Dead Season 7 returns on February 12 at 9pm EST on AMC.
