Imagine Dragons met great success with their debut studio album, Night Visions. Thanks to the massive success of “Radioactive” and “Demons”, they had tons of fans patiently waiting for the new effort and it’s finally coming to us. The lead single, “I Bet My Life” has now premiered in full.

The track serves as the first offering to be lifted from the band’s forthcoming, sophomore studio album. While “I Bet My Life” keeps the radio-friendly affair of Imagine Dragons’ rock sound, it’s rather different from what they’ve offered before. If anything, this one is pretty much toned down, really far from that worrying rage that made their debut so successful. It’s true that this kind of track was totally unexpected and it will take a few listens before you get used to it.

“I Bet My Life” is still is a great tune with a cheerful melody to go by though. The clap-heavy production is driven by a simple guitar line of sweet-sounding strings, with drum beats jumping on it and it all ends up electrifying. It’s already obvious that the song is stadium-ready, as it is totally anthemic. Give it a listen and judge for yourself below.
