Jim Irsay, the owner of the Indianapolis Colts, was arrested late Sunday night after being spotted driving erratically. He now faces four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated.

Irsay was pulled over in the northern Indianapolis suburb of Carmel. Irsay then failed sobriety tests, and after searching his car police officers found multiple prescription drugs. According to police, “Multiple prescription drugs were discovered in pill bottles. These Schedule IV prescription drugs were not associated with any prescription bottles found in the vehicle.”

Irsay was released on bail Monday afternoon, and his first court appearance is set for March 26. If convicted Irsay could serve 6 months to 3 years in prison for each felony count. The Indianapolis Colts released this statement on their official blog this afternoon:

“We are gathering information at this time regarding last night’s incident involving Jim Irsay.  The team will issue additional statements when the facts are sorted and we are aware of the next steps to this process.  Many fans have reached out to express their concern and we appreciate their support.”

Video of Irsay being taken into custody can be seen below.
