Los Angeles-based indie-pop artist and songwriter Emily James is setting the standard with her talent throughout her new single “Peach New Am.”
Throughout the lyrics, James sings about something that isn’t normally sung. Expressing her gratefulness for the friends she met through her four years of college, the singer-songwriter’s melodies are infused with unique beats that will instantly want you clapping along.
“I wrote this song for all of the incredible friends I’ve met at college over the past four years. I wasn’t always sure that I would go to college, but I’m so grateful that I did, in large part because of the people that I met there,” expresses Emily. “We all graduated during the pandemic, and this song is dedicated to them, as a way of saying thank you; not only for making those four years so special and memorable but for being the best friends I could ask for.”

The newest release is off her forthcoming EP “Illuminate” due out July 15th via Nettwerk.
In her debut EP, James explores a new realm of narrative depth with textured, ethereal pop melodies and her enchanting vocals.
The next edition of James’s project has evolved over the past year, hewing a fine line between the intimate and grandiose while exploring new relationships and dealing with life’s uncertainties.
In addition to James’ production credits, four of the album’s six tracks were written and produced by her.
