Being a devout Christian and a rambunctious caddy hen on a gay-loved reality show must be the 2014 equivalent of “between a rock and a hard place”. Porsha Williams of the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast is learning that he past choice of words can come back to bite her in her proverbial black ass.
TMZ has discovered a video from the depths of YouTube, one that places Williams evangelizing at High Praise Christina Center Ministries in Georgia back in 2011. In the video, she can be seen and heard reminding Christians that it’s their duty to save prostitutes, drug dealers, the suicidal and gays. Now, one should not be TOO surprised that a woman of such stature in the African-American Christian community would have expressed a similarly believed conservative notion.
This past Sunday after Part Three of the RHOA reunion, Andy Cohen had Williams on his special Watch What Happens: Live “One-on-One”. Porsha was there to state her case after a heated confrontation with Kenya Moore in Part One, which ended in her ejection from the reunion. Among numerous questions, Cohen asks the Housewife if she felt that she outed her ex-husband, retired football player Kordell Stewart. Porsha vehemently denied the accusations that she promoted rumors, explaining that her label wasn’t a comment about his sexual preferences.
“I would love to see where I actually said Kordell was gay. What I said was–I called him a queen. Nowadays we have taken the lingo from the queens. We call a child a ‘queen’ if he’s acting up. We call a woman a ‘queen.’ That was just me saying something out of anger at the moment.”
See for yourself below! Let us know if you think Porsha is the same old close-minded church girl or a newly side-stepping character in need of all the fans she can get?
