Things are pretty steamy on the 50 Shades of Gray set. It seems there is a certain tension both on and off set between co-stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. Producer Michael De Luca revealed some interesting tidbits at the Producers Guild Awards this past Saturday.
“The chemistry is there, they genuinely like each other,” De Luca said. “They’re enjoying the story, the story is so powerful.”
Also getting steamy, and not in a good way, are writer E.L. James and director Sam Taylor-Johnson. It seems that James is insistent that the book and movie mirror each other. A source explains to E! News, “”E.L. James wants the movie to match the book exactly, but Sam has a different perspective. Sam is reminding E.L. she writes books and she makes movies. This has caused some tension between the two of them.”
De Luca also made comments about how the movie would not include some of the more graphic scenes in fear of receiving the dreaded NC-17 rating. Production is moving right along with nearly half of the movie wrapped so far.
