As of last night it has been officially confirmed by producers at Lionsgate that Selma Blair is leaving her role as Kate Wales in Charlie Sheen’s Anger Management.
“We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best” the short statement read. This announcement comes following rumours of a disagreement over Sheen’s supposedly poor work ethic between the co-stars, and reports from TMZ that Sheen had ‘fired’ the Cruel Intentions actress.
New information from sources at The Hollywood Reporter now suggest that a new female series regular will be added to the FX show for the remaining two thirds of the 90-episode order, and production will continue as planned.
Sheen is yet to comment on the departure, whereas Blair posted a message of thanks on her twitter shortly after the announcement.
