Ivy Levan rose to fame thanks to her debut EP, Introducing The Dame, which was released last year. The rising songstress is now kicking off the era for her debut studio album, Biscuit, and has dropped a buzz single, “The Dame Says”, with a lyric video.
The track serves as a stomping upbeat number, with some horns thrown in its production and a haunting melody in the back of its addicitve beat. It sounds much like a jazz-rock inspired cut that you would listen inside a modern day cabaret or something, while it’s served with a whole lot of sass. Ivy Levan also sounds fantastic throughout, delivering some beautiful vocals with her swagger full-on.
The accompanying lyric video is also a thing to watch. The songstress herself takes part in it and looks like one badass dame with killer looks. For the most part, it’s based on her dark silhouette though and she’s seen taking all kinds of things out of her mouth. Give it a look below, while listening to the track as well.
