J-Pop Group FAKY Reveals New Music Video For “The Light”

The J-Pop group FAKY is back, and the veteran performers are here to remind the world what they can do with their new single “The Light” officially out now.

The Japan-based group is made up of five members (Lil’ Fang, Mikako, Akina, Hina, and Taki) who have come together to deliver a strong musical presence that began with Japan — but gained the attention of the world for their union of different influences, leading to a cumulative view count of over 25 million on Youtube as well as millions of streams across leading platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.

FAKY debuted in 2013, with the group’s initial launch-era earning them a top spot on the iTunes Top Albums chart alongside some of the most renowned musical acts like Ariana Grande and Radiohead. The group has the advantage of collective experience, even being featured in the massive anime properties Gundam and Black Clover, with their audience coming from all different platforms (and across 120 countries.)

FAKY just debuted their new single and video for “The Light” which is a sentimental, and vocally driven track that shows the group’s experience. It plays with a lot of brass, giving it a nice nostalgic vibe that mixes well with the high energy of FAKY, which signifies that the group is nearly eight years into a career where they have found a balance of adaptability, and being able to keep things fresh.

The music video for “The Light” has a fun retro-dream-esque thematic concept, with strong uses of visuals that create a strong pop of color and effortless artistry that helps show that Faky isn’t going anywhere.

Make sure to stream “The Light” by the veteran group FAKY now, and check out the music video included above!
