24 fans rejoice! The Kiefer Sutherland award-winning, mega-hit will be back on the airways after finishing up its eight season run. It is time to once again follow Jack Bauer on his newest escapades.
Set in London, we will see the counter-terrorism expert traipsing through the European city as he defends the freedoms of people around him from some sort of crisis. Why Jack is in London is unclear. There is no word about what the possibly life-altering events are going to be, but surely the situation will be dangerous.
Sutherland seems to be excited about this new chapter in the 24 story. He believes that the storyline coupled with the history of the European city will be fascinating. Furthermore, the actor hopes the viewer will feel like they are with Jack while he fights the bad guys. He also wants them to be left on the edge of their seat. It must be jam-packed with action!
Following the new trend of limited series (Once Upon a Time in Wonderland comes to mind when that term comes up), 24: Live Another Day will follow Jack Bauer on a day-long adventure. His feats will be explored in a 12-episode arc. Of course, Chloe O’Brien (portrayed by actress Mary Lynn Rajskub) will be coming along with Jack (she was, after all, one of his most trusted colleagues). Kim Raver’s Audrey Rains might return, as well, but that deal is not finalized yet, so things can change. Original 24 producers Evan Katz and Howard Gordon, along with Jon Cassar will be joining the cast and crew.
What will happen? Can Jack (and Chloe) save the day? Who knows! You will just have to wait until 2014 to watch it on Fox.
