For those who want to catch a glimpse of the newest Avatar Cameron expects filming to begin in 2015. This will not be the first time James Cameron has filmed Avatar in New Zealand. The first Avatar was filmed in Wellington back in 2007, while the majority of the production took place in Los Angeles.
