Notable character actor James Frain and Jessica Lucas have joined the dark and gritty world of DC television series Gotham.
Frain, who is well known for playing the likes of Richard 'The Kingmaker' Neville in The White Queen, as well as the vampire Franklin Mott in True Blood, is set to sink his teeth into the role of a villainous billionaire named Theo Galavan, while Jessica Lucas has been cast as his sister Tabitha.
But as it turns out Tabitha is no ordinary villain, she is none other than the Gotham version of long standing DC comics villain Tigress.
The original version of Tigress in the comics was a thief and a spy , who was always pitted against the magician Zatara. She was referred to as Brooks with no first name. The second version was Paula Brooks and the third incarnation was her daughter Artemis Crock.
The name Tabitha has never been used before and will be an original idea from Gotham. She will be the lead henchman of her brother Theo. The siblings will have a vendetta which will cause chaos in the streets of the city; eventually this will lead to the origin stories of several Batman villains within the show.
Gotham airs Monday on Fox. The 2nd season will premier on September 21.
