Looks like the future for DC Fans and anime fans is in good hands.
Following the success of Furious 7, one of the top five highest grossing movies all time, director James Wan is set to direct Sony’s adaptation of Robotech, as well as Warner Bros’ Aquaman movies.
Wan is no stranger to major hit films, with his success in directing the first films for the Saw, Insidious, and Conjuring franchises. He also did a fantastic job directing the Furious 7 film after the departure of Justin Lin, as well as the tragic death of Paul Walker.
Both films can be potentially tricky for any director to find success, with Robotech seeking the live adaptation of the popular anime, as well as Aquaman‘s need to include amazing graphics for the underrated yet powerful sea superhero.
With the addition of Wan to these two projects, it looks like Fast and Furious fans will need to find another talented director to keep the franchise going in the future.
