Wait… What?

You know, the casting for this film has been bonkers. We’ve all been confounded, ever since they announced Affleck for Batman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor… But this one takes the cake!

A local news station is claiming to have spoken to an extra on set of the highly anticipated film “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice”. They mentioned that the film would see a female version of the iconic character of Robin.

As other sources have noted, actress Jena Malone has been spotted on set. Now, it’s only natural rumors are circling that she could have indeed nabbed that role.

Let us all remember that casting rumors/plot lines are going to be coming fast and furious soon! However, it could still take a little while, because the film doesn’t come out until March of 2016.

What would you guys think, if they went down the route of changing Robin to a female character? Why would they do this? For women’s representation, for Hollywood-accepted romantic possibilities, or other reasons?

If this is true, Jena Malone would join Ben Affleck (Batman/Bruce Wayne), Henry Cavill (Superman/Clark Kent), Amy Adams (Lois Lane),  Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (AquaMan), and Jeremy Irons (Alfred).
