Jerad Finck Shares The Lyric Video For “The Good Life”

Having established himself as a singer-songwriter whose music reflects the highs & lows we all endure, Jerad Finck presents the video for “The Good Life”

Inspired by the likes of The Goo Goo Dolls and Duran Duran among others (he is a man of great musical taste), Jerad Finck has always believed in the power of music to tell a story and to help someone heal. Since first stepping onto the scene in 2011, and, having played the trumpet from an early age, his ambitions perhaps far exceeded those of other artists starting out at the same time.

From the outset, he wanted to create music that spoke to people — that they and he could identify with — and that’s exactly what he’s done. Touring slots with the likes of Christina Perri, Daughtry and Parachute, to name just a few, have allowed him to share his talents with a huge and ever-growing audience, and his popularity shows no sign of waning any-time soon.

As to why or how he’s so capable of writing in the way that he does, Finck, a happily married man since April 2014, says:

“We’re all going through infinite struggles and this thing called life isn’t easy, but the one thing that binds people together is that we all strive to find pieces of hope that help us push forward – whether we’re a struggling artist, college student or person on the street. We’re all looking for something to inspire us to keep going.”

His latest single, “The Good Life,” is a motivational pop ditty, powerful in its message that, no matter what, you should reach for your dreams and make your life the best it can be. There’s a reality to the track, and the video that accompanies it, which hits home, greatly assisted by lyrics including: “keep on consuming all these plastic dreams, and try and wear them like it’s therapy.” How often have you, or I, wanted to achieve something — it doesn’t matter what it is — that in the grand scheme of things doesn’t benefit us? Exactly.

Finck reminds us, in superb style, that dreams should be about bettering ourselves, achieving the goals that will improve not just our lives but those of others too, so why should we and do we focus on the little things that really don’t matter? Truthfully, we shouldn’t, so let’s not.
