Content EditorIt started with an announcement – An Entourage movie was in the works. Then came the sad news that the production had been delayed due to some cast members greed regarding salaries and back end profits, a short time thereafter one of the shows stars, Kevin Connelly came forward and stated that “Everything is fine” and production was scheduled to begin in January, and everyone sighed in relief. A couple of weeks later, co-star Jerry Ferrara appeared on The Wendy Williams Show and confirmed that it was probably very nearly a done deal, with fellow cast member Adrian Grenier posting to his Facebook less than an hour later “ENTOURAGE movie is a GO!”, and everyone’s excitement began to rise. The week after that, on October 29, the news became officially official when the show’s creator Doug Ellin tweeted “It’s a go. Love you all” along with a photo of himself with the cast. Now, details are slowly beginning to emerge about just what fans can expect to see in the Entourage Movie extravaganza with Jerry Ferrara saying that it will pay homage to the earlier years of the group’s friendship. Speaking with Access Hollywood recently, Turtle, I’m sorry, Jerry, cleared up come of the rumours surrounding the delays “[There was] no hold out situation, No, nobody held out” he insisted. Keeping tight lipped about the films details, Ferrara did share the tidbit that “[It will start] not far from where it left off”, “[It’ll be] the guys with the guys” The series concluded at the end of its 8th season with the guys on their way to Paris to attend Vinne’s wedding to Sophia and Ari on holidays in Italy contemplating his return to Hollywood. One could now assume this is where the film will pick up. It’s been such a rollercoaster of ‘is it on’, ‘isn’t it on’, that I can honestly say that I am so very happy to know that I will be seeing Ari, Vince, Eric, Turtle and Drama on the big screen at some point in the future.
