Jessie J has opened up about her beliefs in Christianity for the first time. Recently finding God, Jessie has taken to her album, Alive, to express her beliefs and values. She said to The Mirror, in an interview; "I’ve very much enjoyed bringing my beliefs onto the album. I think it’s important that whatever your beliefs are you use them in your day-to-day life.” And that's exactly what her single "Thunder" is about; her religious faith in God. "Thunder is a dedication to God. That's why in the video I'm levitating – that feeling of being lifted to the light." "I remember I prayed a lot when I worked on this album and it's not something I've ever spoken about openly." "But I'm just more confident and feel more comfortable to be open about my beliefs and feelings on the world now. I thank God every day for my blessings and my talent." Jessie has also been clean of drinking (alcohol) for a year now (props to her), and it's so great to see that her fans are extremely proud and supportive of her. Although having found God, Jessie admits it's quite difficult to attend church service on a regular basis due to her hectic schedule.
