One of the funniest men in the world is returning to the funniest show on television. Jim Carrey is reportedly set to host Saturday Night Live this season for the third time.
NBC has not yet confirmed the news, but apparently Carrey is set to host sometime in November to promote his new film, Dumb and Dumber Too. Carrey previously hosted in 1996 and 2011.
Saturday Night Live‘s fortieth season will premiere next Saturday (Sept. 27), with host Chris Pratt, who will be followed in the succeeding two weeks by Sarah Silverman and Bill Hader. All three are first-time hosts (Silverman and Hader, however, are previous castmembers).
An interesting fact is that Jim Carrey himself auditioned to be a member of the Saturday Night Live cast in the 1980s, but was rejected.
Make sure to tune in to NBC next Saturday night!
