Muppets fan will get a treat as Syfy has ordered eight episodes of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge. Jim Henson’s Creature Shop provides an array of digital and visual effects, including animatronic creatures, to the international film industry.
The Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge is a competition series where ten contestants will compete for $100,000 and a chance to work at the world famous puppet studio.
Puppet and Muppet fans will get a chance to see challengers compete to build mechanical creatures and mythical beasts as well as design animatronic creatures reminiscent of creatures that Jim Henson made famous in films like The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth.
Brian and Linda Henson, son and daughter of the late Jim Henson, will executive produce the show with the The Jim Henson Company producing. Brian will also perform the role of lead judge in the series, alongside show mentors – designer Peter Brooke, animatronics master John Criswell and fabrication/artistic specialist Julie Zobel
