Watch Jim Parsons And Jimmy Fallon Play 5-Second Summaries

Jim Parsons visited The Tonight Show last week and was challenged by host Jimmy Fallon to a few rounds of 5-Second Summaries.

Ever since Jimmy Fallon took the helm at The Tonight Show on NBC, many of the fun and games carried over from his stint at Late Night. Fallon often has a stable of regulars that come on the show to promote whatever project they are working on, and, while it’s fun to watch the interviews, it’s even more fun to watch our favorite stars engage in the silly games that Jimmy and his writers hatch in their wacky minds, like “5-Second Summaries”.

One such guest is Jim Parsons, the actor who is best known for his work on The Big Bang Theory on CBS as the beloved Sheldon Cooper. Parsons visited The Tonight Show last week and was challenged by host Fallon to a few rounds of “5-Second Summaries”. The object of the game is to guess the movie listed on cards within a short span of time. Each round progressively gets shorter and, thus, harder to guess in time.

As it turns out, Parsons has rapid-fire mental reflexes and made this particular bout of “5-Second Summaries” a clear victory for him — even though there are no losers, as the video below illustrates.

Parsons started the game by saying, “lightsabers.” and Fallon immediately shouted the answer, “Star Wars.”

It’s a fairly easy game but entertaining to watch the two become frantic as the time allowed for decoding the clues to find the answers kept decreasing. Fallon was even able to guess “Space Jam” even though Parsons gave the incorrect basketball star’s name (he shouted Shaq when he meant to say Michael Jordan). There was even an impression of actor Jimmy Stewart for the “It’s A Wonderful Life” answer. A lot of “Jim” mentions here.

When all was said and done, the segment brought a lot of laughs, nail-biting stress, and everyone had a raucously fun time. How would you do playing a game like this?
