As if it wasn’t emotional enough that last night’s episode (February 7) of Late Night was Jimmy Fallon’s final one, his longtime friends The Muppets sang The Band’s classic, “The Weight”, with him.

Fallon sang lead on the first verse and played drums through the entire song. Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem sang the other verses, and then the rest of the Muppets sang along.

When the song ended, Jimmy got off the stage, leaving his Muppet friends wondering where he was going.

He walked across a hall that eventually ended with a door with The Tonight Show written on it.

He opened it and the audience cheered!

Jimmy Fallon’s first episode of The Tonight Show airs on Monday, Feb. 17.

Saturday Night Live host Seth Meyers will take over The Tonight Show starting Monday, Feb. 24.
