One of music’s super couples has decided to collaborate together. John Mayer and his girlfriend Katy Perry have teamed up on Mayer’s latest single, “Who You Love”. The song will be featured on his upcoming album Paradise Valley. In preparation for the release, the lovebirds posed for some professional photos, which were uploaded onto Vanity Fair’s website. He also posted about the experience on his Tumblr page, where he proclaimed, "I'm excited to give you the first look at the single artwork for 'Who You Love,' shot by the great Mario Sorrenti.”  The song is out on the iTunes Store, by the way, if you want to buy it." In a recent interview, Mayer joked about how dressy he and his girlfriend looked in the photos. "And yes, we look like this at home pretty much all the time,” he claimed. While the musician is amused by the outfits worn in the photo shoot, he is proud of the artwork for this piece as well as of the song and of his on-again, off-again girlfriend. This stripped-down, acoustic song is a mellow tune about two lovers who want to share their feelings with the world. They are, as Mayer proclaims, tired of running. Perry joins in the song with a soft, sultry voice which ties really well with Meyer’s smooth, jazzy sound. You can still see him at a few U.S. venues as he wraps up his tour. Starting in April, Australians will be able to see him. If seeing Perry live interests you, her tour for her new album, Prism, kicks off in early 2014. So, what do you think of the song? Did you like it? Or was it not your taste?  Please, leave your comments below. I look forward to reading them!
