With all of the coverage on Shia Labeouf’s recent downward spiral in the media, it would seem that the film star is lacking in support from Hollywood. Luckily, the “Transformers” star has found a friend in John Mayer, who tweeted that the actor is “young and talented.”
On Wednesday the singer wrote several tweets in defense of LaBeouf’s actions.
"Re: Shia. Being young and very talented/successful is like dropping in to the top fo Mount Everest via helicopter," "There are moments in life where you need to feel quantum shift, movement. And if where you already are is considered the top…. The dumb people disintegrate, and the smart people investigate. That investigation is never comfortable. Or all that pretty."
Besides Mayer, most prominent figures in the entertainment industry have not commented on Labeouf’s behavior.
star Emile Hirsch mocked the actor in twitter today, writing, "I AM NOT FAMOUS TO BEGIN WITH."
Hirsch followed with, “"I AM BEGINNING TO FEEL SLIGHTLY MORE FAMOUS," and "I TAKE IT BACK, STILL NOT FAMOUS."
Ending his joke with, "I AM...CONFUSED ABOUT HOW FAMOUS OR NOT FAMOUS I MIGHT POTENTIALLY BE...ANYMORE...I AM...ACCIDENTALLY ON CAPS."
Labeouf’s latest actions include storming out of a Berlin Flim Festival conference for Nymphomaniac
, wearing a paper bag with “I’m not famous anymore” written on it, and debuting an art installation in Los Angeles.
