Keith Urban and John Mayer are the first performers announced for "The Night That Changed America: A GRAMMY Salute To The Beatles." For one night only, these artists will take the stage to pay tribute to the groundbreaking seven-time Grammy Award-winning British group. Also slated to perform are Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart (reuniting as the Eurythmics), Alicia Keys, John Legend and Maroon 5, the academy announced on Monday (Jan. 6). The show is set to tape on Monday, January 27 which is the day following the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. It will be broadcast on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, February 9 at 8 p.m. EST, commemorating 50 years to the day, date and time of the original event. The 50th anniversary of The Beatles' first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" is a striking reminder of the group's cultural impact on the music landscape. Tickets for the taping, which is produced by AEG Ehrlich Ventures, LLC, are currently on sale. Ken Ehrlich serves as the executive producer. Meanwhile, Rac Clark is co-executive producer, Gregg Gelfand is director, and David Wild and Ehrlich are the show writers.
