Following the release of his latest singles “Replace Me“ and “Salam,” the singer-songwriter John Noble Barrack is back with his newest release, “The Wake.”

“My dad passed away after a nearly 4-year battle with Sarcoma Cancer. My family and I were devastated. Of course, shortly thereafter, the world came to a grinding halt, and I was stuck in the home where he passed away for several months,” Noble told PopWrapped.

At that moment the inner artist began writing and processing everything that he was feeling during that time. Throughout the lyrics and the melody, it’s clear the singer-songwriter is dealing with pain.

“If you are hurting, grieving, or wondering when it will all go away, you’re not alone,” Noble told PopWrapped, when asked about listeners’ takeaway of the release.

As a twenty-something New Englander, John weaves stories of grief, death, disillusionment, and euphoria throughout his lyrics.

 “I feel like I’m what happens when Brandi Carlile buys a drink for The Lumineers, and Leon Bridges leans across the bar to say hello,” explains the artist when asked about his sound as an artist.

Based in Brooklyn, John has appeared on stage in different areas including New York and Savannah, Georgia. During his time on stage, he was writing his first four singles and appearing on television shows Bull and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
